Investment Logic Maps

Investment logic maps are developed during a two hour facilitated workshop with the investor (senior responsible
owner) and around 2-5 business representatives. A map cannot be effectively developed without the input of at
least 2 participants. The aim is to develop a map which represents the logic for investing. This becomes the
foundation document for the business case and benefit management plan, as well as ensuring that the
participants have a shared understanding of the proposal before proceeding.

Investment Concept Briefs

Investment concept briefs are the result of a subsequent facilitated workshop that brings together specialists
capable of questioning and ultimately shaping the proposed solution. The investment concept brief provides a
valuable feasibility check before proceeding to business case.

Benefit Management Plans

The benefit management plan provides evidence that the benefits identified in the investment logic map are well
understood and achievable. The plan further defines and shapes the key performance indicators used to track
benefit realisation.
